State of the art and progressive business

Icelandic nature attracts visitors from all around the world that admire its ever-changing features – the geysers, the volcanic lava, the glaciers and the emerging islands. People come to literally see nature reshape itself in an endless creative process. This bursting power reflects well the mindset of people working in the high-tech, cultural and environmental sectors.

Urriðaholt will also meet the design-savvy demands of customers and employees that ask for nothing less than the best in contemporary art. From afar, the area will have a stately outlook with prominent landmarks on the hill. The first will be the Tree of Signs, a sculpture designed by the famous French duo M/M (Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag) in collaboration with the Icelandic artist Gabríela Friðriksdóttir.

M/M and Gabríela Friðriksdóttir have worked together before, both in collaboration with Björk and in the Biennale of Venice. In the design and creation of Tree of Signs they sought inspiration at the roots of Icelandic culture; therefore it was a fitting metaphor to "plant" the sculpture in the soil of Urriðaholt.
